Feeling Excited….nervous?

The best tip I can give you both if you are feeling a little nervous is……

look at your partner.

It seems obvious and super simple, but I promise you that if things get over whelming, this will help.

For some people, the idea of being infront of everyone for their ceremony, can feel a little intimidating. I found at our own wedding, that looking across to my husband and nowhere else, is what helped me to feel more calm and able to be in the moment with him. So if you start to freak out, just look at your person, the one who will make everything feel great!

  • Looking Your Best.

Of course you’ll both be looking your absolute best on your wedding day. With some make-up artist tips and long lasting products, it can also be a great idea to nominate someone from your wedding party to be in charge of touch ups throughout the day as well as checking your dress/suit is sitting right etc. Although I sometimes notice these things, I am often in the moment and carried away thinking about lighting and background, camera settings etc which is why keeping someone on the case for you can be super helpful.

  • Family Photos.

I love family pictures. They’re the kind of images that become more valuable as time passes. If you are keen to do some more traditional family snaps, I will get a full list of who’s who when we meet prior to your wedding day. To help things run smoothly, I recommend nominating a family captain from each side, to help round people up. Close family are usually involved as well as grandparents. Have a think about who you would like included and we’ll chat more about this at our upcoming meeting.

What If It Rains?

Some of the most magical moments happen in the rain. It all comes

down to attitude. If you are happy to get adventurous and get out

there anyway, I’m always keen. Crazy conditions can potentially

enhance them by creating more opportunity for adventure. If you are

a tad worried about your shoes etc, bring some gumboots along, so

you don’t trash your shoes.

I always recommend popping out to the dollar store and picking up

some clear umbrellas too. They don’t distract from the images, but

will keep you dry during the session.

Albums

I hear so often that my couples feel as though their album tells

the story of their day perfectly. I order all my albums from

Queensberry and they are available in multiple fabrics, leathers,

colours and sizes.

If you order your album prior to your wedding the prices are

12x12” - $1250

10x10” - $950

7x7” - $400

Timeline

No doubt by now we will have discussed some aspects of your wedding timeline. You’ve likely been emailing back and fourth with various vendors trying to find a schedule that works. Please get in touch throughout this last month of planning if you have anything you need to fine tune.

We will discuss the final details at our meeting the week out from the big day. I find that this is when we have the least chance of any further changes, therefor reducing risk of mix ups. We will sit down together via zoom or in person to discuss all the little stuff, to make sure I know your bridal parties names and who’s who for family photos.
