The Wedding

With the wedding only a short time away, it’s time for us to plan out a few details. This can really help things to run smoothly on the day. Most of the logistics can be filled out using this form with a few other details left to chat about in person or on the phone.

How It's all done on the day.

I’m excited to be the one who gets to capture your wedding for you! While most of the images I take are 'as it happens' type images, there are some images that I can offer direction for if you would prefer. Let’s chat more about this at our meeting. I will do my best to help you to feel comfortable and am always looking for the best angle and lighting to create beautiful photos whilst having a great time with you and your bridal party. At times during the photo shoot I will give you and your bridal party some ideas on what to do BUT during the ceremony, greeting time and reception, I will do the complete opposite. I want you to ignore me at every moment. If I’m holding up my camera, it’s because I love what is happening at that moment, there’s no need to stop and pose for me at any time. I like to capture things naturally, as they are happening.

Drone Photography

Drone photography is $250 which is paid for after the wedding. The possibility of capturing drone photos is heavily reliant on time opportunity and weather conditions. If there is too heavy a breeze, rain, or too many obstacles, it may not be possible. Similarly, if timing is short, on ground photography will be a priority unless we discuss otherwise.

Family photos

We normally do family pictures shortly after the ceremony! I also wanted to let you know that I personally love family pictures. They're the images that will end up just being more valuable as time goes on. It is totally up to you, if you would like to do these portraits. If so, to help these go smoothly, I recommend having a "photo captain" from each side of the family who helps round up the family. Please elect 1 person from each side of the family and give them the list of your chosen family photos! For your schedule, allow about 2 minutes per family grouping. Below are a list of possible family photo combos. Some people chose to keep it simple with just immediate family, while others go for more extensive family photos. We can discuss this more at our meeting.

After The Wedding - Receiving Your Photos

I am always super excited to load wedding images onto my system and get started. I like to process weddings in chronological order, to be fair to everyone. Even when I have images to complete from previous weddings, I pride myself on having a great turn around time so I don't keep you in suspense for too long. If you are super excited to make a social media announcement after your wedding, it may be a good idea to take a quick snap on your phone that day. Since my process involves looking at the wedding in it's entirety in order, I often don't produce 'highlight images' but prefer to concentrate on the wedding in full and deliver all images between 3 and 6 weeks post wedding. Blog posts and Facebook posts are somewhat random and this is not something I put emphasis on when going through your images.The most important thing for me is to deliver your whole wedding collection to you, looking beautiful for you to enjoy!
